Role Summary The Business Operations Analyst, Engineering will help eBay’s engineering leadership make better, faster decisions by providing reporting, budget tracking, and operational insights . This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and finance , turning data from tools (e.g., planning, HR, finance, Jira) into clear narratives and recommendations that improve how the organization plans, implements, and invests. Key Responsibilities Reporting & Insights Build and maintain standard reports and dashboards for engineering leaders (e.g., headcount, delivery metrics, vendor/cloud spend, objectives and key results progress). Produce exec-ready narratives and visuals (slides, one-pagers) that explain trends, tradeoffs, and recommendations. Support ad hoc analyses on topics like return on investment of key programs, productivity trends, vendor utilization, and tooling adoption. Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Tracking Support annual and quarterly planning cycles for engineering, including budget and headcount forecasting. Maintain budget vs. actuals for engineering cost centers (e.g., headcount, cloud, tools, vendors), with clear variance explanations. Partner with Finance and Procurement to align engineering plans with financial targets, surface risks, and ident
