We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the roadmap, development, and execution of DigitalOcean's Managed Databases (MySQL) product. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role: you will define what we build, shape how we go to market, and drive the roadmap for one of the most widely used products in our database portfolio. You will work at the intersection of customer needs, market realities, and complex technical execution — bridging engineering, infrastructure, go-to-market, and customer success teams to ship products customers rely on. Increasingly, databases are becoming the persistence layer for AI agents, and a first-class participant in agentic workflows through protocols like MCP (Model Context Protocol). What You'll Do Own and drive the product roadmap for DigitalOcean's Managed Databases (MySQL), including provisioning workflows, deployment experience, reliability, performance, and pricing — in close alignment with broader DigitalOcean objectives. Conduct comprehensive market analysis on database trends, competitive offerings, pricing, and emerging database technologies to inform product direction and positioning. Collaborate directly with Engineering and Infrastructure teams to conceptualize, develop, and deliver managed database solutions required for traditional OLTP and modern AI applications.
