Meet the Team The Cisco Wireless Feature & System Engineering team builds end-to-end wireless capabilities across access points, controllers, and cloud-managed platforms. We design features that span device software, control planes, and management systems to deliver seamless, secure, and high-performance enterprise Wi-Fi. Your Impact You will design, develop, and validate wireless features across the full stack, owning both implementation and test automation to ensure high-quality system behavior. In this role: Design and implement end-to-end wireless features across AP, controller, and management layers Own feature validation , including test plans, automation, and system testing Debug complex issues spanning firmware, networking, and system layers Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of features Drive improvements in test coverage, automation, and quality practices Collaborate across multiple engineering teams Promote AI-assisted development and test automation practices Minimum Qualifications 7+ years of experience in wireless or networking software Strong coding skills in C/C++ and Python Solid understanding of 802.11 protocols and system behavior Experience with wireless security (WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X) Experience with test automation and system validation Ability to own features end-to-end (development + testing) Preferred Qualifications Experience with: Roaming (802.11k/v/r) Mesh networking Load balancing / client steering QoS and traffic management Familiarity with lab setup and test infrastructure #wirelesshiring Why Cisco?
