Cigna, a leading Health Services company, is looking for an exceptional Full S tack E ngineer in our Behavioral Health organization. The Full Stack Engineer is responsible for the delivery of a business need starting from understanding the requirements to deploying the software into production. This role requires you to be fluent in some of the critical technologies with proficiency in others and have a hunger to learn on the job and add value to the business. Critical attributes of being a Full Stack Engineer, among others, are ownership, eagerness to learn & an open mindset. In addition to d elivery, the Full Stack Engineer should have automation first and continuous improvement mindset. Person should drive the adoption of CI/CD tools and support AI ‑ assisted development tools to enable rapid, high ‑ quality delivery . Responsibilities : Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical leadership to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into scalable application solutions. Design and develop modern applications following best practices in performance, accessibility, and usability. Apply strong software architecture design principles to deliver reusable code , intuitive interfaces and consistent design systems. Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot. Build cloud ‑ native applications on AWS and Openshift /Kubernetes , leveraging managed services and best practices for scalability, reliability, and security. Leverage AI ‑ assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Devin AI, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to: Accelerate feature development and prototyping . Improve code quality, refactoring, and documentation . Assist with debugging and test generation . Automate repetitive engineering tasks . AI Prompting & Context Engineering . Vibe Coding & Rapid Iteration . Integrate applications with Oracle, DynamoDB databases, including schema design, query optimization, and transactional consistency.
