About the role The HR Ops Assoc Director position influences business decisions made by leadership and recommends functional strategies and operational plans with direct impact on results. Recognized within the organization as a thought leader in area of expertise. Problems are complex and require extensive investigation and analysis. Requires communication with executive leadership. Establishes and implements critical functional strategies and operational plans for the area of responsibility, with impact on the achievement of results. Focus is on medium to-long term strategies (e.g., 2 - 3 years) to achieve business results, which may require substantial development of new processes, standards or operational plans. Typically negotiates and compromises to influence internal and external parties to accept concepts, practices and approaches of the job area. Requires ability to communicate with senior executive leadership regarding matters of strategic importance to the organization. Frequently conducts briefings to senior leaders both within and outside of the function. Requires expert knowledge of multiple work areas typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
