Supplier Quality Engineering focuses on ensuring that raw materials, components, and products supplied by external vendors consistently meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. Supplier Quality Engineers work closely with suppliers to prevent quality issues before materials enter the manufacturing process.

What They Do

Evaluate suppliers, conduct supplier audits, approve new suppliers, resolve supplier quality issues, perform root cause analysis, monitor supplier performance, manage corrective actions, and ensure compliance with customer quality requirements.

Supplier quality audits, supplier performance monitoring, incoming material quality review, CAPA implementation, supplier development, PPAP review, APQP coordination, NCR management, supplier visits, quality reporting, customer complaint investigation, supplier qualification.
