Service Engineering focuses on the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and technical support of mechanical equipment, industrial machinery, medical devices, automation systems, HVAC equipment, and heavy engineering products. Service Engineers ensure equipment operates efficiently throughout its lifecycle while minimizing downtime and maximizing customer satisfaction.
What They Do
Install equipment, commission new machines, diagnose faults, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, provide technical support, train customers, prepare service reports, manage spare parts, and resolve field issues.
Daily Responsibilities
Visit customer sites, install equipment, perform commissioning, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults, conduct preventive maintenance, replace defective components, prepare service reports, communicate with customers, coordinate with technical teams, maintain service records, recommend equipment upgrades.
