HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Engineering focuses on designing, installing, operating, and maintaining indoor climate control systems for residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and data center facilities. HVAC Engineers ensure thermal comfort, indoor air quality, ventilation efficiency, and energy optimization while complying with safety and environmental regulations.
What They Do
Design HVAC systems, calculate heating and cooling loads, select HVAC equipment, prepare ducting and piping layouts, optimize energy efficiency, coordinate with architects and MEP engineers, supervise installation, perform testing and commissioning, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Daily Responsibilities
Perform cooling and heating load calculations, design air distribution systems, size ducts and pipes, select chillers, AHUs and cooling towers, prepare HVAC layouts, coordinate with electrical and plumbing teams, supervise installation, conduct testing & balancing (TAB), commissioning, troubleshooting, and documentation.
