What They Do
Perform structural simulations, evaluate product strength, optimize component designs, validate engineering calculations, recommend design improvements, perform fatigue and durability analysis, and support product development teams through virtual testing.
Daily Responsibilities
Import CAD models, simplify geometry, generate finite element meshes, assign material properties, define loads and boundary conditions, run simulations, validate results, prepare engineering reports, optimize designs, collaborate with design engineers.
