Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Engineering focuses on simulating and analyzing fluid flow, heat transfer, combustion, aerodynamics, and multiphase flow using numerical methods. CFD Engineers help optimize product performance, reduce physical testing, improve efficiency, and solve complex fluid-related engineering problems before products are manufactured.

What They Do

Perform fluid flow simulations, optimize product designs, analyze airflow and thermal performance, evaluate cooling systems, study pressure distribution, reduce drag, improve efficiency, validate designs, and support product development teams.

Daily Responsibilities

Prepare CAD geometry, clean simulation models, generate computational meshes, define fluid domains, assign material properties, apply boundary conditions, run CFD simulations, analyze flow results, prepare technical reports, optimize designs, collaborate with design engineers.
