Estimated learning time: 8–12 months for freshers with aircraft systems projects, simulation experience, and strong aerospace fundamentals.

Overview

Aircraft Systems Engineering focuses on the design, integration, analysis, testing, certification, and maintenance of all onboard aircraft systems that ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation. Aircraft Systems Engineers integrate mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, environmental, avionics, and flight control systems into a fully functional aircraft while ensuring compliance with aviation regulations.

What They Do

Design aircraft systems, integrate multiple subsystems, perform system analysis, develop system architectures, validate system performance, troubleshoot system failures, support certification, and coordinate with design, structures, propulsion, avionics, and manufacturing teams.

Daily Responsibilities

Design aircraft system layouts, prepare system schematics, analyze hydraulic and fuel systems, validate environmental control systems, review electrical interfaces, perform system simulations, prepare technical documentation, support system integration testing, investigate failures, participate in certification reviews.
