Aerospace Design Engineering focuses on the conceptualization, design, development, optimization, and validation of aircraft, spacecraft, satellites, launch vehicles, missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and advanced aerospace systems. Aerospace Design Engineers integrate aerodynamics, propulsion, structures, materials, avionics, manufacturing, and systems engineering to create safe, efficient, and innovative aerospace products.

What They Do

Design aerospace vehicles and components, develop CAD models, perform design optimization, conduct trade-off studies, coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, support prototype development, validate designs through simulation and testing, and ensure compliance with aerospace standards.

Daily Responsibilities

Develop conceptual designs, create 3D CAD models, prepare engineering drawings, perform weight estimation, optimize structural layouts, coordinate with aerodynamics, propulsion, avionics, manufacturing, and testing teams, participate in design reviews, document engineering changes, support certification activities.
