Aerospace Computational Engineering focuses on applying advanced numerical methods, computer simulations, and engineering analysis techniques to solve complex aerospace problems. CAE Engineers use Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), thermal simulations, optimization algorithms, and multiphysics modeling to analyze aircraft, spacecraft, engines, and aerospace components before physical manufacturing and testing.

What They Do

Perform computer-aided engineering analysis, simulate aerospace structures and fluid flows, predict performance, optimize designs, reduce development costs, validate engineering concepts, and support aerospace research and product development.

Daily Responsibilities

Create computational models, prepare CAD geometry for simulation, perform CFD and FEA analysis, generate meshes, define boundary conditions, run simulations, analyze results, optimize designs, compare simulation results with experiments, automate analysis workflows, prepare technical reports, collaborate with design and testing teams.
